The Department of Hematology and Oncology at Grove Hill Medical Center specializes in caring for patients with cancer as well as benign and malignant diseases of the blood. Our board certified physicians, Drs. Fallon and Langsam have extensive training in the evaluation of patients afflicted with cancer and the administration of chemotherapy and biologic therapy. All treatments are administered under the direct supervision of our doctors in the recently updated infusion suite. Additionally, all necessary blood tests before treatment can be conveniently performed at our onsite laboratory with delivery of the results directly to the doctor.

 

Caring for people with cancer can sometimes be very complex. At Grove Hill Medical Center, your care is coordinated by your oncologist with all necessary specialists, many with offices in the same building. These may include pulmonologists, surgeons, gastroenterologists or a variety of other physicians. Additionally, we recognize the importance of the relationship with your primary care physician. They are an integral part of your care and will be involved through the course of treatment.

 

Drs. Fallon and Langsam are attending physicians at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and hold faculty appointments at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. They also participate in the extensive clinical trial network offered through the George Brey Cancer Center at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. They have both been invited to lecture in many settings including professional conferences, resident education and medical grand rounds.
